Hello. I’m Ian Jones.
I’m a journalist, writer and musician who is statistically nearer to the end of his life than to the beginning.
This is a place where I will be publishing new pieces I have written about old things.
The “old” is the second half of the 20th century, and the “things” will usually be television, radio, film, music, books or buildings.
These pieces are the end result of idle thoughts and earnest ideas that have rattled around my head for decades.
It seems prudent to make something of them while I still can and to see if I can write about them in a way that helps both organise and illuminate the past.
